Durham, North Carolina native, Dean "Dino" Stone has made major accomplishments in every area of his expertise. He is a very talented songwriter, producer, vocalist and musician.
As song and jingle writer, Dino has a talent for writing great song "hooks" and catchy jingles that sell, like "Coca Cola" for example. His music has been sought after, both nationally, and internationally. Dino is also a very talented graphic illustrator who has ventured from the east coast to the west, and has finally dug his roots back into Carolina soil.
Although he ventured out on his own from time to time, He decided to return home and join the "Risse" Band, a band originally founded by his sister Alice, brother Victor and a long time friend Von Cobb. The band had all the potential of being another "Waller Family". But in the beginning, if it wasn't for their father who found them their first place to rehearse on a dirt floor of a meat house, who drove them to the gig with the flu and socked them with a fine when they were late, their would be more creativity in something that they all love so much; music. But each sibling eventually found their own dream. One of Dino's favorite performances was at the Sammy Davis Jr. Awards Show in Houston, Texas. He also opened for various mega artists, including, Howard Hewitt, Ronnie Laws, Jean Carne, Norman Connors and Sherry Winston. And while with the "Risse" band opened for Lavert, Atlantic Starr and Hollywood star Fred Williamson.
Dino's current CD "Something A little Different" Is just what it is. Laid back with some upbeat tempos and great music mixes. It has a flavor that you are sure to enjoy. He wrote and produced the entire CD, including the vocals and backgrounds on the track "Can I". Presently, his CD is getting rave reviews in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Switzerland and France.
